Build the Quality Backbone of a Scaling SaaS Product

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer / Quality Engineering Lead who can take full ownership of Quality Assurance across our entire product.

This role is not about executing test cases.
It is about architecting the QA strategy of a scaling SaaS company.

You will audit our current QA landscape, define the long-term testing strategy, and implement a scalable QA framework that supports a rapidly growing product and engineering team.

What You Will Own

You will act as the strategic authority for QA, working closely with engineering leadership.

Your mission will be to turn QA into a structured, measurable, and scalable discipline.

QA Strategy & Architecture

• Perform a deep audit of the current QA setup
• Define a company-wide QA strategy (short, mid, long-term)
• Design a robust test architecture (test pyramid, shift-left, regression strategy)
• Define clear QA responsibilities between developers and QA

Test Infrastructure & Automation

• Take ownership of existing Cypress and API test suites
• Expand and modernize the automated testing infrastructure
• Integrate tests deeply into CI/CD pipelines
• Improve coverage, reliability, and execution speed

Product Quality Ownership

• Build and maintain a comprehensive test case portfolio
• Conduct exploratory and manual testing when necessary
• Introduce modern QA practices including AI-assisted testing

Engineering Collaboration

• Help developers produce testable, high-quality code
• Establish testing standards and best practices across teams
• Improve QA visibility, metrics, and release confidence

What We Are Looking For

We are specifically looking for very senior QA professionals who have built testing systems for real SaaS products.

Experience

✔ 10+ years in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering
✔ 5+ years in automated testing for web or SaaS products
✔ Strong experience with B2B SaaS platforms
✔ Proven experience building QA frameworks or QA strategies

Technical Expertise

✔ Deep understanding of test pyramid architecture
✔ Hands-on with Cypress or similar E2E frameworks
✔ Experience with API testing frameworks (RESTAssured or similar)
✔ Experience with performance & load testing (JMeter or similar)
✔ Strong knowledge of CI/CD testing integration

Engineering Knowledge

✔ Experience working with Java-based backends and REST APIs
✔ Ability to mentor developers on testing best practices
✔ Experience implementing QA systems across distributed teams

• Deeply understand the product architecture and QA setup
• Deliver initial QA audit and strategy outline

Week 2

• Identify major gaps in coverage, testing workflows, and tooling

Week 3

• Deliver full QA roadmap and implementation strategy

Within the First 3 Months

✔ Document and systematize all product test cases
✔ Increase automated test coverage by 20%+
✔ Establish baseline performance and security testing
✔ Provide transparency into coverage gaps and system resilience
✔ Become the central authority for product quality
